Ever wonder what it takes to do a custom paint job on a motorcycle? The following photos are a sample of the work and knowledge that takes a bikes sheet metal from rough to show winning custom paint. Follow me as I give you a RARE GLIMPSE inside the custom paint world.

Ok so the body work is done, the sheet metal gets moved to our special spray booth for the primer. The primer is sprayed and now we wait for it to flashout.

I shot my base color ( a special mix I created ) all in House of Kolor. I then shot one good coat of clear and will wait till tomorrow scuff down the clear and start the custom airbrush graphics.

I let the clear flash overnight, came in today and scuffed down the clear and added my custom airbrushed skull on the back fender. I will shoot my final coats of clear over the entire fender.

OK the final clear is on and tomorrow I cut and rub for a show shine. I only custom paint for a few anymore after 25 years of slinging paint and meeting deadlines I hung up my big paint guns. I still do the custom airbrushing just not complete paint. If you have something you need airbrushed and you want it right give me a call. Along with House of Kolor and over 30 years of airbrushing I understand not only the art end of airbrushing but the knowledge of paint and how it all links together.

Thanks Bimbo and John for trusting me with this bike. May you ride with the wind to your back and the sun on your face.
